I said I was going to stop eating burgers. Then I got invited to the Burger & Lobster at Harvey Nichols opening night. I couldn’t resist. There’s something about free food that I cannot say no to. There’s something about burgers that I cannot say no to. I’m glad I didn’t say no. Fuck me. This burger is just completely and utterly ridiculous, in size, in appearance and in taste. The thing with this place is that it’s impressive, really, really impressive. Everything from the cocktails, the decor, the lack of menu, it’s exciting. I said it all after my last visit to the Soho branch and I’ll probably say it again after I return to try the lobster roll. The burger was wonderful. Perfectly pink in the middle, juicy and delicious. The sheer size of it puts in high up there on my list of the best burgers in London and luckily the taste doesn’t disappoint. The chips and salad are on point. The desserts, next level. Some kind of Nutella panacotta with thick cream and coconut shavings. A joke. And an upside down passionfruit cheesecake. Even more of a joke. These guys can do no wrong.
